Getting it into your home

We’ll help with the practical bits.

Stairs or a tight turn?

Separate packs mean we can carry the springs and comfort layers in separately, rather than move the whole mattress at once.

Tell us about stairs, narrow doorways or tight turns before delivery. We’ll help check access and arrange the right carrying help.

In Sydney, request two-person delivery for stairs or if you can’t safely help carry. Additional charges may apply.

Not ready to set it up?

Moving house or waiting for a room to be ready? You can choose to assemble your mattress later.

Before delivery, ask us how to store the packs and when the rolled layers need to be unpacked.

A few delivery questions.

What about my old mattress?

Ausbeds offers paid removal in Sydney by arrangement. Interstate customers need to arrange their own removal or recycling. Confirm it before delivery day.

Can I choose the exact date?

Talk to us before ordering if timing is critical. Sydney and interstate schedules work differently, and a requested date is not confirmed until agreed.

Is delivery free?

It depends on your address and carrying service. Check current delivery information or contact Ausbeds to confirm costs.

Assembling it yourself?Open the step-by-step guide

These steps are here if you choose to assemble it later. The layers can be heavy. Ask for help rather than lifting them alone. If you’re unsure, call us before you start.

The felt is supplied separately in the springs-and-cover bag. Keep it to one side for the setup shown here.

Here’s the order.

  1. Unwrap the flat pack.

First, remove the plastic from the mattress. Then set the felt to one side.

  2. Open the cover.

Unzip it and fold the quilted top back to reveal the main springs.

  3. Unwrap and unroll.

Remove the second bag’s plastic. Unroll the pack with the separate 5 cm latex layer underneath and both micro-spring layers on top.

  4. Micro-springs first. Springs facing up.

Each micro-spring layer has a thin latex backing attached to it. Place the micro-spring layers onto the main springs, one at a time. On both layers: springs facing up, thin attached backing underneath. Leave the separate 5 cm latex layer lying flat until both micros are in place.

  5. Separate 5 cm latex layer on top.

Place the separate 5 cm latex layer over the micro-springs.

  6. Check, cover and zip.

Before you zip: From top to bottom: separate 5 cm latex layer, two micro-spring layers, main springs. Both micro-spring layers must be springs-up, with their thin attached backing underneath.

Unfold the quilted top over the layers and zip the cover closed. Keep the felt separate unless you want to make the mattress firmer.
